A Boutique, Custom-Mixed Catalog of Rock, Hip Hop and Electronica That Includes Music Supervision

Joel Beckerman (at left, above) started his career as a producer, arranger, sound designer and performer, and founded Man Made Music in 1998. He has since worked with everyone from John Williams to John Legend and has produced with his team hundreds of projects for clients like NBC Nightly News, CBS, ESPN, Showtime, The History Channel, Virgin Mobile, Mercedes-Benz and many more. Man Made’s services cut a wide swath in music production, from composing TV, film and new media themes to music supervision, promotions, live events and sonic branding. As a result, Beckerman says he’s grown his business recently by some 200%, despite a down economy, always refreshing to hear. That may also be the main reason Fast Company listed Man Made Music just behind Spotify and Apple in its 2010 list of the Top 10 Music Companies.
Most recently Beckerman and Man Made Music scored its seventh season of Anthony Bourdain’s iconic travel show, No Reservations. This season, the No Reservations team also integrated Man Made Music’s exclusive music catalog, The Ledge, into the mix.

Beckerman and Man Made launched The Ledge two years ago as a boutique, custom-mixed catalog of the best rock, hip hop and electronica tracks from its archive. Like everything else Man Made Music does, it’s definitely not stock music or even your typical production music catalog either; this VIP source also includes music supervision.
