Nice Shoes Handled Editorial and Color-Grading Duties on "Brothers of Arcadia"
It’s all about wet muscles in monochrome in “Brothers of Arcadia,” a new short film for Mugler and its creative director, Nicola Formichetti (probably best known these days as Lady Gaga’s stylist). New York’s Nice Shoes handled editorial and color-grading on the project over a long weekend – Friday to Wednesday – locked in a room with director Branislav Jankic, Formichetti, and reps from the agency, Moving Image & Content. The teaser, above, was cut for a debut at cocoperez.com, and two different versions of the spot – one four-and-a-half-minute “PG” version and one six-minute “X-rated” edit – followed close behind.
The editor is Moss Levenson and the cinematographer is Frank Stanley (but not that Frank Stanley). For more on the job, see Trust Collective’s publicity page for Nice Shoes. The spot can be viewed elsewhere in both mild and wild (meaning NSFW) versions. (That last link takes you to Fashionista.com, which has thoughtfully embedded the video so you don’t have to visit the porn site that’s actually hosting it.)
