All-3D-all-the-time network 3net announced the October debut of three original programs: the scripted, four-episode Scary Tales from Workaholic Productions; a six-episode series on ancient civilizations, The Ancient Life, produced by JWM Productions; and a one-hour special on the 100th anniversary of the Indianapolis 500, Indy 500: The Inside Line, produced by New Wave Entertainment.

In addition, 3net said it will host the world television premieres of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, the IMAX-produced Hubble 3D, and the 13-episode travelogue series World Cities 3D, produced by D4D Ingenieria Visual SL and CABLEready.

The Ancient Life premieres October 9; Indy 500: The Inside Line shows October 13; Hubble 3D airs October 16; Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs premieres October 23; and World Cities 3D and Scary Tales both bow on October 30.

Launched in February as a joint venture between Sony, Discovery Communications, and IMAX, 3net is – along with the more widely carried ESPN 3D – the standard-bearer for 3D broadcasting in the U.S. It can be seen on DirecTV channel 107, but the company says it plans to announce broader distribution by the end of the year.
