Partner Pages Offer Discounts to Premium Subscribers

Vimeo is sweetening the pot for its premium subscribers by offering a new member rewards program that bundles software, camera packages and other production accessories at discount prices. Vimeo Perks is the latest effort by the video-sharing site to add value to its paid subscription levels and encourage more pro-level filmmakers to return often to the site and engage with those just starting out. Discounts range from 5% to 25% off list prices for similar products elsewhere online.

The first partners in the Vimeo Perks program are B+H, Red Giant, Letus Direct, Kessler Crane and GarageCUBE. The inaugural B+H bundles include 12 DSLR camera packages that target beginners to professionals and everyone in between. Vimeo says it anticipates adding many more partners-and interrelated products-in the coming months.

VP of creative development Blake Whitman said today in a company release that initial Perks partners were hand-plucked from those “our community knows and loves in order to provide them an easy way to buy the products they want at exclusive discounts.”
