Soundelux has hired Michel Benavente, whose most recent screen credit is ADR supervisor on Moneyball. His credits as supervising sound editor include No Strings Attached, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, and Idiocracy. His next project is director Tim Story's Think Like a Man, scheduled for an April 20 release in the U.S.
"We have been fans of Michael Benavente for many years," said Robert C. Rosenthal, president of Soundelux parent CSS Studios, in a prepared statement.
Benavente went to film school at UCLA, then started his career as an assistant sound editor on TV shows Dallas and Knots Landing. His first credit as supervising sound editor came on Doctor Dolittle in 1998. He's a Golden Reel Award winner for his sound editing work on Disney's Beauty and the Beast in 1991 and earned his most recent nomination for Moneyball.
