Creators Daniel Franke and Cedric Kiefer experiment with motion-capture in this short dance film that repurposes data originally captured by three Microsoft Xbox Kinect sensors. Three different angles on a dancer were converted into a point cloud in three dimensions which allowed a new virtual camera to move around the dancer, partly in reaction to the music. Given a new random seed, a completely new "composition of the [dancer's] recorded performance" can be created, writes Franke. It's certainly otherworldly.
