Frankenweenie, Tim Burton's stop-motion chaser to Dark Shadows, is a full-length redo of his much-loved 1984 short about a boy and his dog. The black-and-white film, with nods to both the original Frankenstein and Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein, will open Austin's Fantastic Fest on September 20 before release on October 5. Disney has also posted a nice interactive 360-degree video tour of the set (the first of three) in which producer Allison Abbate (Iron Giant, Corpse Bride, Fantastic Mr. Fox) talks with the film's lighting director and animators while they work.
