Unified Driver for PC Versions of Software Is Free Download; Mac Driver Coming in January 2013
Matrox has updated its MXO2, MXO2 MAX and Mojito MAX families of products with a unified driver to take advantage of recent updates to Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro. If you record voice-overs during your edit in Premiere Pro CS6 or regularly use the audio punch-in feature of MC 6.5, you can now monitor that work with a Matrox I/O device. Matrox has also thrown in a beta support for the 64-bit Windows 8 OS.
Those on the Mac, however, will have to wait until January for updated Avid and CS6 support. Registered users can download the new PC software version 7.1 from the Matrox website. The upcoming unified driver for Mac users will also support Apple FCPX and Compressor.
