There's no reason to settle for tried-and-true, caroler-friendly Christmas arrangements now that Killer Tracks has assembled Eclectic Christmas, a collection of holiday tunes in indie-rock, folk-pop, electro, and (wubwubwub!) dubstep styles.
Tracks on this disc include the danceable "Decks in the Halls" and "Joy to the Dance Floor," the "epic" "Flight of the Reindeer," and uptempo versions of "O Holy Night" and "Silent Night."
Fun facts: The epic and indie songs on Eclectic Christmas are credited to Chris Constantinou, who played bass guitar for Adam Ant in the 1980s under the pseudonym Chris De Niro, and Paul Frazer, who plays electric guitar and synth in the British band Subsource. The two of them traveled to Nepal earlier this year to record traditional Himalayan songs with local musicians.
