Todd-AO Hires Les Misérables Re-recording Mixer Mark Paterson in L.A.
Sara Duran-Singer is the new CEO of Todd Soundelux, the holding company formerly known as CSS Studios whose brands include Todd-AO, Soundelux, and POP Sound.
A 25-year veteran of the post industry, Duran-Singer was most recently the SVP of worldwide post-production at Walt Disney Studios, where her duties included operational and strategic planning for the company's post facilities as well as oversight of restoration and preservation efforts. "The opportunity to lead an organization consisting of historically significant and storied Hollywood brands, such as Todd-AO and Soundelux, is quite exciting and represents both a great privilege and an equal amount of responsibility," said Duran-Singer in a prepared statement.
Also this week, Todd-AO signed re-recording mixer Mark Paterson, who recently won the Sound Mixing Oscar for Les Misérable, to its Los Angeles roster. "It is a real thrill for me to have this opportunity to work side-by-side with the extraordinary collection of creative talent at both Todd-AO and Soundelux," said Paterson, who will move from his U.K. home to the U.S., in a prepared statement.
