Eyeon announced the shipping release of its Eyeon Production Pipeline (EPP), a workflow tool designed to reduce the need for VFX artists to learn specific naming and file-saving conventions in order to access shots and other assets related to a given project.
EPP includes a number of Python scripts to manage the file system, but the specific settings are presented to users in the form of XML files that are easily edited, copied, and shared. Released under a NewBSD license that allow users to make their own modifications, EPP is available as a binary installer or as Python scripts hosted at GitHub.
Eyeon's VFX review and management system, Generation, has been updated to v3.1 and fully integrates EPP. Generation features include 120 fps HFR and 4K stereo playback; a direct connection to Eyeon Fusion; event scripting to support pipelines from Adobe, Autodesk, The Foundry, Maxon, Side Effects Software, and more.
EPP with Eyeon Generation, Eyeon Dimension, and Eyeon Fusion sells for an introductory price of $2,495, with site licenses available.
