This multiple award-winning short film by writer-director Conor Finnegan about a bird trying to avoid migrating south for the winter looks like stop-motion animation, but it's not. Controlling rods and other implements used to puppeteer the characters were carefully keyed and roto'd out of the image, which was then enhanced with animated elements.
