If you're a shooter who's sitting on a library of hard-gotten footage, you've probably thought about putting some of it up for licensing. But how to proceed? If you're not sure, mark your calendar — our friends at the Digital Cinema Society (DCS) have organized a free "how to" event set for Thursday, August 1, at The Studio at B&H on West 34th Street.
Panelists at "How to Monetize Your Stock Footage" include Light Iron CEO and co-founder Michael Cioni, Shutterstock Director of Video Acquisition Tom Spota, and cinematographer Mark Forman. The event will be moderated by DCS President James Mathers.
The event is set to run from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. An RSVP is required: send your contact information in an email with the subject line "Stock Footage" to rsvp@digitalcinemasociety.org.
