Autodesk VP of Media and Entertainment Sales Stig-Eric Gruman passed away on Saturday at the age of 51. Gruman had been with Autodesk's entertainment solutions division for nearly 15 years, holding positions in sales, finance, product development, product management, customer service, support and operations, the company said in a statement today. In addition to his work at Autodesk, Gruman led efforts to create the Visual Effects Society Student Award, said VES Executive Director Eric Roth, who posted a note at a web page Autodesk set up specifically for remembrances of Gruman.
A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, November 28, at the Centre funéraire Côte-des-Neiges in Montreal, Quebec, according to an obituary in the Montreal Gazette.
