Amanda Lippert talks to Mona Fastvold, the director of The Sleepwalker, and her cast (Gitte Witt, Christopher Abbott, Brady Corbet, and Stephanie Ellis). The film, in the Sundance U.S. Dramatic competition, follows Kaia and her boyfriend Andrew, who live on her late father's estate in Massachusetts. Their lives are interrupted when Kaia's sister, Christine, arrives unannounced in the middle of the night. When Christine's fiancé, Ira, suggests they stay for a few days, each of the characters must deal with past demons and mounting friction.
