DuArts Clients Will Have Access to 2G Services and Vice-Versa
A bi-coastal agreement between Burbank's 2G Digital and New York's DuArt will extend options for post-production and digital supply chain services.
A dedicated high-speed data link between the two companies will allow 2G clients with encoding and distribution jobs on the East Coast to deliver media to DuArt for forwarding to such clients as iTunes, Amazon.com, and Netflix.
"Turnaround time is critical," said 2G Digital's COO, Stephen Buchsbaum, in a prepared statement. "Having an outpost on the East Coast will make things quicker and more efficient for our clients there."
2G Digital will handle fulfillment of file-based delivery services for DuArt customers, and 2G Digital's customers will be offered editorial, color-correction and audio services through DuArt.
"It's a logical fit," said DuArt's VP of operations, Joe Monge, in a prepared statement. "Both companies gain a national presence and both can now provide services that they did not previously offer."
