Chainsaw Will Operate Under Its Own Name When Deal Closes in July
The SIM group said it has reached an agreement in principle to merge next month with Hollywood post facility Chainsaw.
Chainsaw, which specializes in unscripted and live television productions, will operate using its own name alongside SIM's other operating units, SIM Digital, Bling Digital, and PS Production Services.
"Uniting these two great companies enhances our ability to offer true, end-to-end service packages to film and television producers," said SIM Group Chief Strategy Officer James Martin in a prepared statement.
Founded in 1996 Chainsaw's credits include the Academy Awards telecast, American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, and Teen Wolf.
"We gain access to more resources and talent, as well as additional markets for our services," said Chainsaw founder Bill DeRonde in a statement supporting the agreement.
