IBC attendees will see the latest development from cloud video specialist Forbidden Technologies — a Forscene mobile app for the iPad. Users of the app will be able to prep footage for edit by assembling simple rough cuts and tagging clips in the Forscene cloud from their Apple-branded tablets, as well as their Android devices.
"Making Forscene available in the Apple App Store was a key operational objective for Forbidden," said Forbidden Technologies CEO Stephen Streater in a prepared statement. "Forscene for iPad gives many professional editors an opportunity to experience the platform for the first time."
In other news from Forscene, the company is targeting consumers with a new video-sharing platform called Eva.
A blog post at Eva's website, written by the company's director of consumer products, Aziz Musa, suggests an ambitious roll-out: "We believe that Eva will become a new language, used by everyone to share their lives and express their ideas." The brand is also active on Twitter and Facebook.
In alpha-testing now for Android devices, the platform is scheduled for release by the end of the year.
