Integrated System Lets Users Read, Select and Publish Messages with Pre-Designed Templates
IBC will see the debut of Pixel Power's Buzz, which the company described as a "software accessory" for its playout devices that allows program producers to browse consolidated social media feeds and select messages to publish on air.
Pixel Power said a pre-release version of the system is being used in production by TV Guide Network, which uses it to integrate social media postings with its live Big Brother After Dark coverage.
"We see Buzz as the clever-not-complicated option," said Pixel Power CEO James Gilbert in a prepared statement. "It gets social media on air for broadcasters and producers. They can define a graphics template to match the look of their show, and quickly and simply pick the right messages out of the incoming feeds."
In other pre-IBC news, Pixel Power said it is integrating Digimetrics Aurora QC system with its own Gallium content management and playout systems.
