Deutsche Grammophon got into the library business with last week's announcement that the renowned classical label would be licensing pre-cleared recordings — including Mozart piano concertos, Beethoven violin sonatas, and pieces by Bach, Liszt, Dborak and Schumann — for production use.
Deutsche Grammophon Production Music launched with 30 albums that are being offered for licensing through FirstCom Music. "This legendary classical music label will add even more depth and variety to our already extensive music libraries and allow us to deliver a source for music that is quite simply second to none," said FirstCom SVP and Executive Producer Ken Nelson in a prepared statement.
