Rachel Goldenberg

Los Angeles, CA, April 3rd, 2015: Los Angeles-based production company Society director Rachel Goldenberg has been announced as the director of the top-secret Lifetime dramatic thriller A Deadly Adoption, starring Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig. The movie, already filmed, follows a successful couple that house and care for a pregnant woman with the hopes of adopting her unborn child—then things quickly go awry. The film is executive produced by Ferrell and Adam McKay’s Gary Sanchez Productions and is based on a script by Andrew Steele. The ‘campy and fun’ movie is slated to be released in early summer in conjunction with Lifetime’s 25th anniversary in the television movie business.

Goldenberg has previously helmed seven feature films, including Lifetime originals Escape from Polygamy and Love at the Christmas Table. She has also recently been brought on to direct Sony’s EDM romantic comedy I’m in Love with the DJ.
