BenQ shipped the BL2711U, a new 27-inch UHD (3840×2160) "design monitor" aimed at video editors, animators, graphic artists and the CAD/CAM market.
The 10-bit IPS panel fully supports both sRGB and Rec.709 color. (It makes no claims about the next-generation Rec.2020 UHD color specification, which is for now the province of much more expensive broadcast-style displays.)
The monitor has picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture monitoring modes, allowing side-by-side comparison of images from different sources, and a broad 178-degree angle of view.
The BL2711U is available now at a retail price of $679.
