Shade VFX, a film and television visual effects facility with offices in LA and New York, has just named Lisa Maher executive producer. Maher was formerly business development executive at Shade.
She will oversee work in the studio's offices in Santa Monica. A former visual effects artist who more recently shifted her professional focus to business development, Maher worked at Rhythm & Hues and CIS-Hollywood before joining Shade VFX in 2013.
“Lisa has been one of the driving forces of Shade's recent, rapid expansion and growth," said CEO Bryan Godwin in a prepared statement. "While acting as our Business Development Executive, Shade's revenues grew 300% by the end of 2014, and are on target for even more growth in 2015."
Shade's visual effects work appears in a variety of film and television projects, including Selma, 22 Jump Street and the HBO dramas Olive Kitteridge and Behind the Candelabra. Nominated for Outstanding Special Effects in a Supporting Role for its CG work on Netflix's moody Marvel series Daredevil, Shade is currently completing effects for 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
