VFX supervisor Jeff Wozniak has been selected to run the New York facility recently opened by Zoic Studios. The new studio will serve features, episodics, commercials and videogames.
Wozniak joins Zoic from New York's Industrial Color, where he was head of CG and senior VFX supervisor.
Wozniak studied at Stanford University, then got his start in post-production at Lucasfilm's THX division before moving to the art department at LucasArts and eventually joining ILM as a compositor. There, he worked on titles including Avatar, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, and the Transformers series. After ILM, Wozniak had a stint at Look Effects, where he was VFX supervisor on A Most Violent Year and the stereo-3D version of Noah.
"Not only has Jeff worked on some of the most noted effects-driven films in the past decade, but he also has a deep understanding of VFX processes and pipelines and is skilled at curating teams of artists for projects of any size," said Zoic Executive Creative Director and Partner Chris Jones in a prepared statement.
