New York-Based Company to Be Renamed Aardman Nathan Love
Aardman is expanding geographically with the acquisition of New York animation studio Nathan Love. The rebranded company, to be known as Aardman Nathan Love, will be Aardman's first permanent production facility outside of the U.K.
"This venture is not about sending work back to the U.K.," said Aardman Co-founder and Executive Chariman David Sproxton in a prepared statement. "it's about building a new business in New York for American agencies, and we feel we can do this more effectively by being there."
Nathan Love was founded in 2007 by Joe Burrascano, who had been a 3D artist at Psyop. Its advertising clients include Kellogg's, Kraft, Pepsi, NBC Universal, and Nickelodeon. "The partnership [with Aardman] feels very natural, our values and philosophy are closely aligned, and the potential for what we can do together is incredibly inspiring," Burrascano said in a statement.
