Julia-Louis Dreyfus stars, under a purple wig, in this fashion-show themed ad for Old Navy. Notice the remarkably soft, even light? The spot was shot inside a PhotoBubble, invented by director Roman Coppola and provided by (of course) The PhotoBubble Company. Production designer Laura Fox was working in the bubble for the second time. "We had to create the backstage of a fashion show and hint at the fashion show going on," she said in a statement. "Neither commercial had the money to build sets large enough, where you could shoot 360 degrees and never see off your sets." Wayne McClammy directed (through production company Hungry Man and for agency Chandelier Creative), Damian Acevedo was the DP, and Crispin Struthers edited at Final Cut, New York.
