Cloud rendering provider Zync, which was acquired last year by Google, has entered public beta on the Google Cloud Platform.
Zync was previously available on Amazon's EC2 infrastructure, but with the move to Google comes more granular, per-minute billing (with a 10-minute minimum), and across-the-board price cuts.
New users have the opportunity to rack up $800 in render credits. First, signing up for an account nets the registrant an automatic $300 credit. Then, via Google's new Render More promotional site, a form unlocks an additional $500 credit.
Zync rendering is currently available for Nuke, V-Ray, and Arnold, with RenderMan support set for later in the year.
