Shure Chairman Rose L. Shure has passed away at her home, the company announced today. Her husband was the company's founder, the late Sidney N. Shure.
Rose Shure was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors after Sidney Shure's death in 1995.
We have had the privilege of working with a truly extraordinary woman," said Shure CEO Sandy LaMantia in a prepared statement. "Our company and many charitable and cultural organizations have benefited from her thoughtfulness and generosity. I am confident that the legacy left to us by Mr. and Mrs. Shure will continue to endure in our hearts and in our minds. That is exactly the way Mr. and Mrs. Shure would want it to be."
Funeral services will be private, and the company is asking that donations be made to the Sidney N. Shure Kehilla Fund at the Jewish Community Center of Chicago or another charity in lieu of flowers.
