Netflix continues its content-creation spree with Pee-wee's Big Holiday, a new original film featuring a 21st century update of Pee-wee Herman — albeit one that doesn't seem to have been updated for the 21st century at all. Some characters are comfort food. It's directed by Wonder Showzen writer-producer John Lee, also known for directing episodes of Broad City and Inside Amy Schumer.
