Well-known for his skill at creating viral videos for his band, OK Go, director Damian Kulash has been signed by Park Pictures for worldwide representation. The company said the 15 videos he has directed or co-directed have generated more than 250 million online views.
"OK Go accidentally stumbled into the world of filmmaking when a rehearsal tape of us dancing in my back yard went viral in 2006, and what a lucky accident it was for me," Kulash said in a prepared statement. "In the decade since, I’ve chased my creative ideas down ever more exciting and unexpected paths, and along the way I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with some of the world’s most amazing engineers, dancers, technologists, choreographers, and filmmakers."
Last year, Kulash directed an ad for Chinese furniture store Red Star Macalline that took the OK Go video for "The Writing's on the Wall" as a jumping-off point.
Kulash's most recent co-directed creation, the "zero-gravity" video for "Upside Down & Inside Out," was a recent Video of the Day feature here at StudioDaily.
