Deluxe named John Paulson, former CEO of agency Tag Worldwide, as president and general manager of features and advertising post services.
Reporting to Deluxe CEO John Wallace, Paulson's new purview will include editorial, color, post and production services at Beast, Company 3, Efilm, Editpool, Rushes and Deluxe post-production in Culver City, along with the company's Creative New Media division. He will work out of both New York and Los Angeles offices, the company said.
The move puts Paulson in charge of features and advertising, while Domenic Rom runs services for television and Ed Ulbrich handles VFX and VR work. Stefan Sonnenfeld, recently named Chief Creative Officer of Deluxe Entertainment Services Group, also reports to Wallace.
"Feature film and advertising are becoming more seamlessly integrated, with creative talent cross-pollinating them and technology re-shaping them like never before," Paulson said in a prepared statement. "Bringing all of this post and production talent and technology together creates new opportunities for experimentation and innovation ultimately for the benefit of both our features and advertising clients.
Before Tag, Paulson was Americas CEO of G2 Worldwide and group account director for DDB Worldwide.
