Staff engineer Chris McNaughton has purchased Denver, CO's Rocky Mountain Recorders (RMR) from longtime owner Paul Vastola, who opened the studio in 1989.
McNaughton's background includes stints at Lower East Side Audio and Penny Lane Studio as well as at Boulder's Relay Recordings. He took over as owner-operator of RMR in March.
RMR has also hired composer and sound designer Tyler Hayden as senior recording engineer. He will run the facility's Studio A, anchored by a 40-input Amek Mozart console and Slate Raven control surface.
