Colorfront debuted a new version of its Transkoder mastering and QC application at IBC, highlighting its high-resolution and HDR capabilities.
In addition to Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG 1.2 delivery formats, Colorfront said the new version of its Transkoder mastering and QC system supports 8K dual-green and 16x SDI output via AJA's Corvid 88 IO card when running on new workstations from Supermicro and HP. Transkoder has also been updated to read and process 8K raw media from Red's Helium sensor and Panavision's Millennium Digital XL camera system.
For monitoring, Transkoder is GPU-accelerated when working with Nvidia's Tesla M60, Quadro M6000, Titan-X(p) and GTX 1080 cards, the company said. Also demonstrated was remote media access at data rates over 4 GB/second per networked workstation.
Other new features include improvements to the built-in AV diagnositic tools, more conform tools, improved search capabilities, and integrated Netflix Photon validation.
