Shure today said it is introducing a 50th anniversary model of its widely used SM58 cardioid dynamic vocal microphone.

The SM58-50A Limited Edition mic is distinguished by a silver finish, a 50th Anniversary marking on the handle, a commemoratve certificate, photo print, "historical user guide" and sticker. Along with the mic release, Shure is encouraging users to get social, posting photos and stories about the mic using the hashtags #sm58 and #ilovesm58.

"The SM58 has been at the center of unforgettable musical performances for 50 years and has left its mark on generations of audiences and performers," said Shure Product Specialist Soren Pedersen in a prepared statement.
