Longtime Efilm VP Al Cleland has been promoted to managing director, Efilm said. He will be in charge of digital color, finishing and location services for the Deluxe company.
Cleland had been VP of Efilm's trailers business for the last eight years, the company said. He replaces previous managing director Josh Haynie, who recently became VP of U.S. operations at Panavision's Light Iron.
Cleland was one of the original employees at Efilm predecessor CIS, and he was Senior VP and GM at Technicolor Creative Services before assuming the same position at the then newly created Postworks Los Angeles.
"Al's career speaks for itself," said Deluxe President of Features and Advertising Post John Paulson in a prepared statement. "He's a respected thought leader within the industry and a trusted and admired manager throughout Deluxe."
