Hollywood post facility Cognition has named Eileen Godoy head of post-production, responsible for sales, business development and marketing, and personnel and recruitment.

"We couldn't be more proud and excited to promote Eileen, a bright, engaging and knowledgeable professional who has thrived in a primarily male-dominated field," said Dognition CEO Brian Pope in a prepared statement.

Godoy's promotion comes in a current expansion phase for the company. It recently opened a new 12-seat 4K DI theater running SGO Mistika through a Barco DP4K-P projection system onto a 21-foot screen with 7.1 surround. Cognition's secondary theater also runs a 4K Mistika system displaying on a Dolby PRM-4220 flat-panel monitor. 

Cognition's recent projects include ACES color workflow for feature films Marauders and A Happening of Monumental Proportions.
