The Production Music Conference (PMC) said ASCAP Senior VP, Film & TV Shawn LeMone and production music composer, producer and executive Peter Cox will receive this year's 2nd annual Mark Awards during the PMC.

I'm delighted to see Shawn LeMone recognized for his untiring efforts to bring production music to the forefront of ASCAP's attention," said PMA Chairman Randy Thornton in a prepared statement. "A longtime advocate of composer rights, [Peter Cox] has always put the music first and continues to set a very high bar of achievement."

Named for the late Andy Mark, a founding member of the PMA, the Mark Awards ceremony will take place October 18 at the PMC. The two-day conference will be keynoted by composer Harry Gregson-Williams (The Martian) and musician/businessman D.A. Wallach.

The PMC will be held October 17-18 at Le Méridien Delfina in Santa Monica.
