The Hollywood Professional Association named the winners of its 2016 HPA Awards last night, honoring a range of individuals and facilities for their work on feature films, TV and commercials.

Unlike some award programs, where the kudos tend to clump around certain people and projects, the HPA honors this year recognized a range of different projects and companies. (That's HPA President Seth Hallen addressing the audience at the top of this page.)

Among the honorees were Herb Dow, ACE, who received the HPA's Lifetime Achievement Award, Aspera CEO Michelle Munson, who was given the Charles S. Swartz Award, and The Mill's Blackbird rig for integrating CG automobiles with live-action footage, which earned an HPA Judges Award for Creativity and Innovation. Jesse Korosi and Jennifer Zeidan received the Emerging Leader Award.

And winners of the HPA Engineering Excellence Award were Aspera's FASPStream technology, Grass Valley's GV Node Real-Time IP Processing and Edge Routing Platform, RealD's Ultimate Screen, and SGO's Mistika. Honorable mentions went to Grass Valley's LDX 86N Native 4K Series camera and Canon USA's 4K/UHD/2K/HD display.

Here's the HPA's list of award winners in other categories:
