Republic Editorial in Dallas hired Joey Cade as executive producer at its just-announced design and VFX studio, Infinite Fiction. Cade will be charged with business development, sales and marketing strategy, and expanding the creative team.
Republic said partners Carrie Callaway, Chris Gipson and Keith James will manage the new 2,000-square-foot studio with the intent to create motion-design and VFX work there, including VR experiences.
“We are extremely excited to have Joey at the helm of Infinite Fiction” said James in a prepared statement. "She has an extensive depth of knowledge in this industry, has collaborated with numerous award-winning creatives and brands, and knows what it takes to grow a business." Cade had previously worked at Dallas VFX and animation studio Reel FX, as well as at Tractorbeam and on her own web-based business.
Infinite Fiction is already working on projects for clients including TM Advertising, Dieste and Tracy Locke, the company said.
