Are custom color spaces the future of color-correction? In this video, Jacob Balazer explains the workflow for Logarist, a free color-correction system designed for video editors that uses custom LUTs to transform footage from a range of cameras into an optimized color space for easily adjusting exposure, white balance and contrast. The workflow is a little kludgy but seems to yield good results quickly in DaVinci Resolve, Vegas Pro and Final Cut Pro X. In this video, Balazer shows how it works in all three software environments.
