New York editorial studio Bikini Edit said it had hired Cary Flaum as executive producer following its recent move from Manhattan’s Soho district to Orchard Street on the Lower East Side.
Flaum was formerly the executive producer and head of production at Midtown production company Shilo.
After its move to Orchard Street, Bikini Edit opened its own 1,400-square-foot gallery space, Site 57, where it plans to highlight creative work by members of the advertising industry including directors, cinematographers, and Flame artists. An exhibit of video works from Assume Vivid Astro Focus is running through late March.
“In the weeks ahead, we will be bolstering our roster of acclaimed editors,” said Flaum in a prepared statement. “With Site 57, we look forward to expanding upon the foundation of fine art by inviting ad industry artists to participate in our program.
“Anyone who works in film, television and advertising can appreciate unbridled opportunities to fully express artistic abilities,” added Bikini Edit owner Avi Oron, “whether it’s in traditional or non-traditional art. We invite artisans throughout the creative industries to participate in this program.”
