Broadcast Pix production switchers are getting NewBlueFX Titler Live built in, the companies said.
Forthcoming models of Broadcast Pix switchers will include Titler Live’s CG engine, including “hundreds” of styles and templates for lower-thirds, bugs, and other on-screen graphics. Graphics will be editable through the switcher itself, with file names appearing on the unit’s PixButtons during live production.
Graphics can also be shared using Broadcast Pix’s integrated BPNet cloud workflow, and are compatible with those created using NewBlue software with third-party NLEs.
“Broadcast Pix provides tight integration of a CG inside our switchers and throughout our BPNet ecosystem,” said Broadcast Pix CEO Kevin Prince in a prepared statement. “We are excited to now integrate this powerful CG, which will take our users’ live video productions to the next level.”
The new CG capabilities will be a standard feature, not a paid option, on new switchers to be announced at an unspecified time in the future, a Broadcast Pix spokesperson told StudioDaily. That may happen at NAB later this month, when the new capabilities are set to be demonstrated at the Broadcast Pix booth (SL9721).
