Prime Focus Technologies is unifying workflow for both dailies and post-production on the same system with the NAB introduction of DAX Production Cloud.
DAX Production Cloud builds on the DAX digital dailies application and integrates with Prime Focus’s Clear Media platform, allowing editors, agencies, VFX vendors and others to access media using the same software.
“The ability to handle high-res content through the same interface opens up doors to a whole new level of automation within the production supply chain,” said Patrick Macdonald-King, President, Americas, Prime Focus Technologies, in a prepared statement. “It effectively bridges the gap between production, broadcast and studio operations, enabling instant access to high-res content, in DNX or ProRes, directly from the set with the capability to create a multitude of formats for downstream promotional, marketing and publicity use cases from one system.”
The company said the new system will allow users to more easily access content for other Clear modules, including Promo Operations. which automates promo versioning through Adobe Premiere Pro.
