An increasingly feverish landscape of pop-up ads tells the story of a relationship’s downward spiral in this music video. “It’s been fun interrupting people’s favorite shows with our commercials, but we thought that here had to be other art forms we could ruin with ads,” said creative directors Max Stinson and Erik Fahrenkopf of agency Wieden+Kennedy, who came up with the idea.
