New Yorkers will get their chance to go hands-on with some of the year’s newest gear October 18 and 19, when NAB Show New York moves into the Jacob Javits Convention Center. NAB NY is co-located this year with AES New York, which is being held October 18-21, so you can take a really deep dive into audio recording and post-production at the same time. For more information on attending, visit the official NAB Show New York website — and remember that there’s finally a subway station right across the street from Javits, which makes it a relative snap to get to the out-of-the-way facility. Here’s a preview of what you can expect to see from a variety of companies at the show.
AJA will spotlight the FS-HDR converter/frame synchronizer for real-time HDR and WCG processing of 4K, UHD, 2K and HD signals. Also at the show will be the company’s new 12GM and 12GDA Mini-Converters and the Ki Pro Ultra Plus multichannel recorder and player, which can record up to four channels of 60p HD ProRes simultaneously. www.aja.com
