Panavision today named Dan Hammond vice president and general manager of Panavision Hollywood.
Hammond fills the position formerly occupied by Lisa Harp, who had been at Panavision for 27 years until becoming president of ARRI Rental US Camera.
Hammond was previously senior account executive, business development, at Production Resource Group, but had worked in various departments at Panavision previously, between 1989 and 2008. He is an associate member of the American Society of Cinematographers and a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and the Association of Independent Commercial Producers.
Hammond will be in charge of daily operations at the facility, reporting to Panavision COO Michael George.
“Dan has a broad range of strengths in developing technology solutions, and extensive experience providing production studios, cinematographers and directors with the products and services they need on a global level,” said George in a prepared statement. “We are excited to have him back with the team at Panavision.”
