For New Yorkers interested in Panasonic’s VariCam system, now made up of four cameras including the recently released AU-EVA1, Atlanta-based cinematographer William Wages, ASC (Burn Notice, Turn) is coming to town with a preview of his upcoming Roland Joffé feature, The Forgiven, shot with the VariCam LT.
The event, hosted by The Studio-B&H and Panasonic Cinema, is set for next Tuesday, January 23, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the SVA Theater at 333 W. 23rd St. in Manhattan. Wages is set to screen footage from the film and discuss camera-related subjects including lighting choices, budgetary implications, and Panasonic’s dual-native ISO technology. He’ll also talk about his experience testing the new 5.7K EVA1.
