Looking for a gently used Alexa to add to your arsenal? Arri today announced its Certified Pre-Owned Program, through which it will sell refurbished Alexa Plus and Alexa Classic EVs.

Under the terms of the program, cameras will be assessed, overhauled and recalibrated before being offered for sale, with sensors tested for full function and any damaged or worn-out parts replaced. The refurbished cameras must pass the same “final function test” as new cameras, Arri said.

“It’s a global initiative which adds a new tier to our products, allowing more filmmakers access to our technology,” said Stephan Schenk, managing director of Arri Cine Technik and general manager of the business unit, camera systems, in a prepared statement. “It also gives educational institutions a cost-effective way of providing high-quality equipment for their students.”

The certified Alexas are covered by a one-year warranty. The current stock is listed at Arri’s website.
