Framestore has named Grant Walker and Ahmed Gharraph joint heads of CG in London, where they will work on advertising, television and immersive entertainment projects alongside Head of Animation Ross Burgess.
Walker has been at Framestore since 2009, working on projects including AMV BBDO’s “Chauffeur” campaign, which brought Audrey Hepburn back to life for Galaxy chocolate, and earned a BAFTA nomination for creature work on Black Mirror.
Gharraph was most recently lead FX artist on Star Wars: The Last Jedi at ILM. Prior to that, he had spent two years as senior technical director at Framestore.
“It’s a pleasure to welcome Ahmed back to Framestore and to have such a strong joint leadership in place for our rapidly growing VFX team working across advertising, television and immersive entertainment,” said Helen Stanley, Framestore MD of integrated advertising worldwide, in a prepared statement.
“The breadth and depth of projects we are currently working across is not only exciting, but continually pushes us to raise our creative game in brilliant ways. With Grant, Ahmed and Ross at the fore, I’m confident that the quality of our output will go from strength to strength.”
