Grass Valley released v9.2 of its Edius NLE with a slate of improvements including HDR features, support for new color spaces, and the introduction of a floating-license model.
Among the color spaces supported in this version are Arri Alexa Log C and DJI’s D-Gamut/D-Log. A new color space templates manager allows users to deselect any unused presets and then share those modified template lists with other Edius systems.
Edius video scopes are more HDR aware as well, supporting nit-level display. The Edius scope can now display RGB parade and RGB histogram in addition to the waveform monitor and vectorscope.
Apple ProRes MXF and Sony Venice Raw are now supported on import, and decoding performance for Canon Cinema Raw Light has been improved, Grass Valley said.
Edius Workgroup 9, which supports workgroup editing and the ability to edit growing files, can now control 4K HDR monitors from Eizo.
